Memphis police officers are on the scene at Forrest and North Avalon regarding a shooting. An unknown suspect fired shots in the area where officers were present.
A man has been charged with stabbing his brother to death in Columbia. William Dobbins, 33, is charged in the death of his brother Glenn Dobbins, 32. Police said William was found with a stab wound inside a home in the 1900 block of Crestview Drive on Tuesday night. He later died at the hospital from his injuries.
Murfreesboro Fire responded to a mobile home fire overnight. The fire occurred on North Tennessee Boulevard around 12:15 a.m. According to officials, heavy smoke was visible upon the arrival of crews and they quickly extinguished the fire.

1 killed in Macon County fire overnight
One person was found dead following a fire Monday night in Macon County. The Macon County Sheriff’s Office said the fatal fire was reported around 11:30 p.m. at a home on Hartsville Road, a few miles outside of Lafayette.
An 18-year-old male was arrested Sunday night after making a threat in person to two individuals about Mt. Juliet High School. The suspect from Old Hickory, allegedly approached two individuals Sunday afternoon and made a statement in regards to warning them not to attend school on Monday because he had just purchased a new gun
Three theater technicians were taken to the hospital after a CO2 gas leak in the Smoky Mountain Opry according to a spokesperson from the theater. The leak happened in the special technician room that is separate from the audience
All three juveniles who escaped from a juvenile detention center in Williamson County have been taken into custody. In a tweet Saturday, Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody said three teens had escaped from a juvenile correctional center.
Metro police have located and interviewed the suspect in a shooting in downtown Nashville Saturday afternoon. Officers responded to the call around 4:40 p.m. at the intersection of Peabody and 7th Ave. One person was shot and transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The body of a Lebanon police officer was found in a flooded creek in DeKalb County on Thursday. Authorities found the overturned truck of Lebanon Police officer Joseph Bowen in Dry Creek. A Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper recovered Bowen’s body after an air and ground search of the area.

A suspect wanted after a man was shot and killed in Clarksville has turned himself into police. Police began searching for 25-year-old Rashaud Watson shortly after the shooting in the 1200 block of Paradise Hill Road. Police said he turned himself into authorities late Wednesday afternoon. Johnthony Walker also testified at his trial Wednesday in Hamilton County Criminal Court that he didn't leave his traffic lane before the Nov. 21, 2016, crash.

A homicide investigation is underway after a fatal shooting Tuesday night in Clarksville and a named suspect is sought. It happened about 10:23 p.m. at 1232 Paradise Hill Road, according to a news release from Clarksville Police, which says a 41-year old male victim was shot multiple times and was pronounced deceased at Tennova Health Hospital.
Memphis police arrested someone for shooting and killing a man inside a vehicle, police say. The shooting happened back in May of 2017 on the 3600 block of Ford Road. Police said Alec Phillip Jr. was shot multiple times, and pronounced dead on the scene.
