Accident with injuries reported on Middlebrook at Bob Kirby
The Memphis Police Department is investigating a shooting in the 3000 block of Summer in Binghampton that left a man critically injured. Officers responded to the scene at 4:18 p.m. Sunday evening.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation says Interstate 75 North is closed at mile marker 140 in Campbell County. It's expected to reopen around 8:30 a.m. Sunday. Traffic is being diverted at Exit 134. I-75 South is not affected.
Police dispatch confirmed that a metro officer was injured Sunday morning while responding to a hit and run. The officer was injured around 5:45 a.m. while responding to the scene of a hit and run on I-40 East near Fesslers Lane. There is currently no information on the driver or vehicle that struck the metro officer, and the severity of the officer's injuries are unknown at this time.

Detectives need help solving one of the first homicides of 2018. On January 6, officers responded to the 5000 block of Yale and discovered Nicholas Brunetti dead from a gunshot wound. The investigation revealed the 29-year-old was sitting in his car with an unknown person when shots were fired. He and the suspect both jumped from the car and fled the scene
The man charged in the Harbor Town murder last November has been bound over to a grand jury. Kutrell Williams is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Susan Grissom.
Metro Police are covering a scene at a Clarksville Pike Waffle House, where shots fired from the parking lot scattered patrons. Three shots were fired from the parking lot into the restaurant, breaking windows. No one was injured and no suspect description was available

A suspect considered armed and dangerous is on the loose after shooting an officer in Northeast Knoxville Thursday night, according to police. The shooting was called in a 313 North Broadway at 8:31 p.m. Officers responded to the scene at 5405 Washington Pike outside the Target store.
